Applique/Collage in vessels and wall art
A far cry from the elegance of Elizabethan textiles, I remember my mum’s pinnies she wore to do her daily chores. Remembering their patterns drew me towards the old heritage traditions from whence they came. Collage, literally building up layers, stitching them together, like applique panels, have informed more recent work, to create my framed pieces, decorative vessels and jewellery range as part of my Applique Range.
