My Porcelain work

This body of work began originally as an extravagance for me. I wished to create pieces where I had a great deal of opportunity to embellish and explore my love of textiles, both within print and embroidery. One of the most successful and popular forms produced being the slim jugs, which come in a variety of sizes. Other vessels include tea pots, coffee pots, cups and saucers, mugs, cake stands and fairy cake boxes. Design work has been aided by my stitched drawings or ‘doodles’ that are used as motifs in my cake stands. The majority of this work is slab built using my adapted ‘dress-making’ style, but I also do throw some items.
